Great show marred by the charge. The charge needs to advertised by a notice on the viewing area BEFORE you enter the area. Be upfront about the charge $4/$5 and the complaints would disappear. I am wondering if there is a bylaw not allowing the...More

Not sure how much fee was to watch. We saw just as much by arriving late and standing back. Best sight of pelicans is along the waterfront in the early evening when at least a dozen pelicans "surf" the air currents above you, for at...More

It is really interesting to learn about the pelicans and some of the other birds that live around the sea. It was also fascinating to watch the feed. We weren't told about the "entry donation" until after the "show" had commenced. This was too late...More

Bring $5 per person ($4 for children) to avoid embarrassment. He mentions the fee at the beginning of the show and if you try and walk out at the end without paying you will be very embarrassed as he shares his disappoint with you. Otherwise,...More

Great. Local does a fabulous job presenting and pelicans are funny. Make sure you bring change as donations of $5 per person. Watching 5 pelicans chase a seagull was just hilarious ( no gulls get hurt).

As I was staying in Kingscote, I had seen the signs pointing out pelican feeding and came across the old man talking. At the end of his talking he proceeded to block the way out and demand $5 per head. I had no idea that...More

At first we didn't know he was going to charge but at the end of his presentation it was worth the $5.00.

There are plenty of indications that the show starts at 5pm and certainly the Pelicans know what time to be there even though they do not have time pieces. The feeder dos a great job telling plenty of anecdotes about Pelicans (& other seabirds). It...More

We missed the entire show and only hopped in to grab some close up pics of pelicans (which I could have done for free without stress on the other side of the shore or any other jetty), this guy was walking up as I walked...More
