Well worth a visit if you're in the region. A lovely stretch of sand with some great water activities for the kids during the dry season. A new development is in the process of construction so will have lots more eating options shortly but L'Unico...More

Stayed for 10 days with my sister at the Blue Marlin. Could not recommend highly enough. Directly across the road from the beautiful beach. Could see and hear the waves 24 hours a day. Very laid back clean little town. Beach is spotless with a...More

what a idyllic beach, we couldnt believe how quiet it was when there was watersports on there! We liked to grab a coffee and go for a early morning walk on the beach which was surprisingly busy with early swimmers and dog walkers. One morning we...More

Though in croc land, the life guard was realistic about the dangers. Saw a wounded ray in the surf but it wasn't a stinger. The water was just a perfect temperature and there were places up and down the beach to find shade, sun, benches,...More

The beach is lovely for walking on , in between two headlands and outside stinger season (Nov-May) you can swim.

Eexcellent stay for families 😊😊 spend time relaxing and enjoying the beach either from the appartments or by going down to the beach, or strolling along the esplanade, loved it.

Not bad. Quite coarse sand and rough break meant it wasn't great for our little ones. The town itself is surprisingly light on amenities and restaurants, etc, considering all the resorts and holiday apartments.

Had a few days to explore Cairns area. Trinity Beach was the perfect location. Easy day trips to Kuranda, Barrier Reef, Palm Cove and Port Douglas.

It was very windy for the whole week we stayed nearby so the sea was quite turbid. We swam a couple of times between the flags. The yellow sand is nice to sit on and there is plenty of shade under trees to get out...More

Unfortunately it was very windy when we went to check it out so we didn't go swimming but there were some brave enough! There is a netted area but everyone was swimming outside them! Signs warn of stingers and crocs, I wouldn't risk it!

As the others said, no problem if you follow the warnings and obey the signs. I understand that normally the crocs would only be found in the creek way down the beach form the supervised area anyway.

Yes, like all the beaches near Cairns, Trinity has a stinger net during the stinger season from November to May, and the nets are usually deployed a week or so before November. The closest point for boats that will take you... More
