Hope I'm reviewing the right attraction. Despite early on a weekday this place was packed so I had to park further down the road. The scenery is very impressive and the walk will exert a fit person. Could get worse if it was a hot day but was overcast. Good for half a day to enjoy scenery and the hike.... More

I love going up to the Dandenong ranges, the scenery is stunning, the air is clean and there are some wonderful shops and cafes and things to do and see up there.

Day trip to Dandenong Ranges, great to be in the outdoors on a perfect day enjoying what the area has to offer. On this trip we stopped at lookout, walked through shops in Olinda Village, visited Olinda Falls and visited the Williams Ricketts Sanctuary. The Dandenongs are the hills to the east of Melbourne. The foliage is lush and the Dandenongs are a good place to retreat to when Melbourne has one of its stinking hot days. First you pay to get in. Then you fight elbow to elbow with 1,000 Chinese tourists for a seat on an old bus which takes you 2km to a backlot that has rows of cherry trees already stripped by the vultures. Then you wait in the heat and again fight for a seat on the bus to bring your bag... More

It is very close from melbourne city. I went to this place by public transportation. We can see forest and take a fresh air. I love this place.
