A Main Palace and lovely garden!
Sep 2019
Nice Baroque Palace with furnished interior rooms. Some of the paintings and furniture are original to the palace. They were filming so only part of the building was open, but the gardens were beautifully groomed and were lovely to walk in. Not many people were there touring, mainly just the film crew.

Great garden

The French garden looked amazing - the smell of roses just took out breath away.
However, it's quite too pricey (we paid about 25 € for both of us) to see long road and French gardens.
Moreover, there should be more signs that could be helpful around the place (for example, where is the wc and so on).

Three of us had the run of the place when we were there. A lovely, knowledgeable guide took us through the rooms, explaining history and pointing out special decor. We only took the short route, but you could have taken a longer one if you wanted.

Very, very beautiful garden. I also recommend visiting in the fall. Autumn flowers are blooming and roses are not over yet. A wonderful walk.

Hidden treasure worth the drive
Sep 2019 • Couples
On a day trip from the Riga area, we stopped by Rundale Palace. Yes, it is very similar to the Versailles yet smaller. This was nice as it was less crowded for us. The ceilings were really magnificent and the portraits hanging on the wall were on par with what we had recently seen in St. Petersburg Russia. The gardens can been seen from one of the rooms on both the short and long tours.
Purchase the long tour and add the gardens. Thirteen Euro per adult. A good price.

A must when in Latvia
Aug 2019
Absolutely loved it. It’s sort of a Latvian version of Hampton Court Palace. Even the gardens look as sumptuous. Three words for this visit: splendour, majesty and awe.
