We drove our hire car from Yulara to Kings Canyon. It was excellent. It is a one way walk around the rim. Once you do the hard part of the stairs getting up onto the rim it is sensational to walk around. The views and...More

An easy walk in amazing scenery. Unfortunately there has been a landslide at the end of this walk, so at present the lookout is not available but the walk is still worthwhile, especially for those unable to do the rim walk. WE stayed in an...More

The 6 Km Kings Canyon Rim walk starts off with a steep and difficult climb up 'many' steps formed in the rocks, but then evens out to a spectacular walk around the canyon rim. Despite the many flies and sometimes uneven terrain, it was a...More

The Kings Canyon Rim hike is the reason most people come to this remote area so I was concerned that the hike would be very, very busy. Because of the heat and we were there in November, everyone starts the hike early. We arrived around...More

This place is special and best enjoyed over 2 nights. If you arrive after a couple of weeks of rain you will be blessed as we were. The waterfall had great flow and there were lovely ferns and flowering plants. I suggest taking a fly...More

It is a long detour to visit Kings Canyon from either Uluru or Alice Springs however definitely worth the effort. The rim walk is not to be missed. A definite highlight of our Central Australian holiday.
