Enjoyable and adventurous walk to the gorge. Over rocks, sand and uneven terrain so good shoes are very welcome. Once at the gorge it is as beautiful as the photos and water is lovely. Didn't bring a snorkel but would have been nice to have....More

After a 10 km corrugated gravel road park the car and walk to the gorge. The initial track is easy but the rocks you clamber over just before the gorge require sure footedness. Swim in the gorge and look up at the waterfall that runs...More

This place was a hidden gem recommended by the ranger at garammar camp ground. It was the best swimming hole we had visited where we did not have to trek for over an hour. Nice place.

FANTASTIC!! 10km bumpy dirty road to get there and then about a 600m walk across some pretty rocky areas, BUT when you get there you are greeted with a fantastic almost circular gorge, waterfall and pristine crystal clear water. A perfect place for a swim....More

Maguk Gorge was the highlight of our visit to the NT. The walk in is a fabulous tropical surround and the waterfall and pool are stunning. It was an absolute delight to swim in this pristine place.

A short walk through monsoon forest to a beautiful pool that gets some sunshine so it isn't freezing, just refreshing. There were lots of people swimming so we swam too despite the possibility of crocodiles. The falls were still flowing despite being the dry season....More

Campsite is not huge, maybe 12 sites. Sites are cordoned off with barriers, so not all have access for trailers. There are fire pits and table and chairs. Some are big enough for a few tents. Most are shady. There is one male & female...More
