Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We tried playing here 20 years ago in a pouring rain.
Not this time!! Gorgeous sunny weather ! Fair but difficult course designed by Palmer. Fantastic for the seasoned golfer.

Arrived at tralee to a warm welcome from all staff but the starter was outstanding- an amazing welcome and very helpful to our group. Never met a starter as friendly nor gone out of his way to help us. Thank you! As for the course the views are beautiful and the course is in very good condition. A tale of two halves: front 9 flatter but with some cracking holes along the sea while the back 9 is true links with large dunes. It was the highlight our golf trip.- perhaps we had underestimated it on our list. The clubhouse is modern with wonderful views over the course and out to sea. Definitely play this course on your golf trip to Ireland. The friendliest club in Ireland.

What a day! We were welcomed with open arms by the staff and especially our new friend Morris. Dennis was our caddie and he was TERRIFIC! This was our third day of golf during our holiday and it was our favorite! The course was in excellent condition and the golf was everything we had hoped for, but Dennis made the day. He was so knowledgeable, pleasant and funny-we had a blast. He took a tremendous amount of pride in caring for the course and it was wonderful to see. Definitely a challenging course and the views are just out of this world!

Love visiting Tralee golf club, stunning views, great course, and delicious food.
The only thing that lets it down were two out of three of the staff in the restaurant were really miserable. Thankfully the lady who served us was lovely.
When we arrived a girl plonked the cutlery on the table, leaving my husband to lay the table himself, for all our party.
Definately no service with a smile, from all but one lady.
Fortunately the food was, as always delicious, and good portion sizes. The deep fried halloumi starter, and scampi main courses are superb.
The food was very slow to arrive, though it was beautifully cooked and tasty.
However, some staff are sadly letting the place down, which you don't really expect at this type of venue, and price point.

I have played 19 golf courses in Ireland, some of them 2/3 times. Tralee is the best, every hole provides a golf challenge and an ocean view. Only Royal County Down comes close.

Absolutely world class facility, from the driving range to the 19th hole. Paddy, my caddy, was a delight. His knowledge of the course and area were certainly enhanced by the fact he and his family are long standing members. A perfect morning round. Play was a bit slow, but the views from every hole are a worthy distraction. I will definitely be back.

Wonderful, extremely fun, beautiful links course that I thought was closest to Waterville. Not at the same devasating level as Lahinch and Ballybunion, but absolutely stunning views, especially if you can hit it on a sunny day (which we didn't). Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time and loved the remarkable views as well as the challenge of the course. Highly recommended.

One of the best courses in Ireland by a long shot.
Golfed here in mid July with a group of friends, and cant thank Anne and Dave Power enough for their help with organising. Really enjoyed by all. Fantastic scenery on each hole, with beautiful views of the Atlantic ocean from many of them also.
Looking forward to returning later in the year.

The views are awesome the course is incredible the people so friendly,Ann &Angela and David the professional in particular made it oh so enjoyable and if you ever get a chance to play this course, take it as you won’t be disappointed.
Definitely one for the bucket list and Arnold says that “he designed the front 9 but God designed the back 9”. How right he was.

We are a family of 5. Can we play as one party? Typically play best ball off tee to get started then every one tries to par out but my wife usually plays along with my ball. How does local rules allow this play?

Etiquette says One party with 4 balls, max, regardless how nice and considerate a family you believe you are. Talk to the pro, explain what you need, but don't expect it to be allowed. As they say, "this just ain't cricket", when it comes to the rules and etiquette of golf! Or, just wing it and hope no one notices... most important thing is not to hold anyone up behind you!

Caddies are not required, but it is a long rough round without a caddie.
