Unique experience at Wisent Enclosure

*First of all this is NOT "Bison Park", that is nonsense, american bison a different species bison bison where as wisent is bison bonasus*
With that being said:
The Enclosure lies about 10 km from Topoľčianky from where marking will lead you to the parking space.
This WISENT ENCLOSURE offers totally unique experience with almost extinct magnificent animals.
To be able to see the whole herd it's better to be there around the times of "feeding". Vitamins&minerals supplements that are given to them at 9am and 2pm. At this time you are able to see the whole herd. If you visit during the whole day, you maybe have the chance of seeing some of the animals when you take a 2.5 km walk around the enclosure. If you'll decide to visit, you won't be disappointed.

Zubria zvernica vám ponúka nádherný zážitok z pozorovania takmer vyhynutých zubrov. Zubrom sa podávajú prikrmovacie granule ráno o 9 a poobede o 2, vtedy je najlepšie prísť, lebo je možnosť prezrieť si celé stádo. Ak tieto časy nestihnete, možno budete mať šťastie a nejakého zubra zahliadnete, ak sa vydáte na 2,5 kilometrovú trasu okolo celej obory. Táto trasa je spravená formou náučného chodníka. Toto miesto určite stojí za návštevu. I symbolické vstupné (2 eurá dospelý, 1 euro dieťa nad 6 rokov) vás môže prilákať.

Get there at opening time to see the bison being fed

This conservation park is home to more than 20 European bison which, once nearly extinct, have subsequently been successfully reintroduced in to the wild thanks to the efforts of its keepers. It officially opens at 9am. Arrive and there is not much to suggest what lies inside. As with many attractions in Slovakia you have a bit of a hike to the actual bison park from the free carpark outside. But try to arrive for 9am as this is when the bison are fed. This is quite a sight - and you can climb up to a wooden parapet to get an overview or simply watch through the fence. There are over 20 bison here - adults and calves and some of the older males may indulge in a bit of mutual butting as they jostle for the best position at the troughs. There's a small entry fee (1 euro) at the small cafe/ticket office next to the enclosure. There's also a pleasant walk through the woods around the enclosure which has panels telling you in English and Slovak about the bison and other native flora and fauna. It was highly unexpected and well worth a visit.
