Totally recommend it to travellers & residents of NZ. The family that runs & owns it are by far the best operators we have come across in NZ & overseas. A very inter active swim with seals, safe & fun.....and well worth it.

We wanted to do whale watching, but as it was booked out for some days when we arrived in Kaikoura, we decided to do something else. As we had seen so many seals on the South Island, we thought this might be a unique day trip. And it was amazing. The seals were so playful and curious. They came so... More

This is a must do. Such a surreal experience swimming up close and personal with so many beautiful seals. And what made it even better was it being a kiwi family run business, the hosts are fantastic; they're friendly, funny and educational. Loved this!

This trip was my highlight in Kaikoura, and one of the best things I've done in NZ. It's a small, very well run operation, with a small group size and a great team of guides.

This tour was the best tour I think I have ever been on. We had a great time swimming with these beautiful creatures! They were so inquisitive, and we got to swim with about 20 young pups. It was so amazing, my husband and I are huge animal lovers and to be able to do something like this in their... More

The seal colony in Kaikoura is absolutely brilliant! Playful and interactive, the seals did not seem bothered by us but rather intrigued, they checked us out and played with us without ever been enticed to do so, just out of their own will. This was an incredible experience, it was like they came for a "Human Swim Tour" like we... More

Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable people run this business - they are clearly passionate about the seals. Everything is fully explained, we had ages in the water with the seals (didn't get cold at all due to the very good wetsuits they provide), and saw the seals much closer up than I expected. It was just incredible to see these beautiful... More

We stopped over in Kaikoura especially to swim with the seals - definitely worth it!! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, on the boat we were shown several different places where the seals were hanging out and their pups! Super cute. We found a spot with a couple of seals and jumped into the water. The seals swam... More

Swimming with seals is amazing experience. Staff in Seal Swim is really friendly and they know everything about New Zealand fur seals. Under the water you can get quite close to the seals and you can see that they are really acrobats of the sea.
