Really good walk up over the headland with the option of coming back around the coast. Great walk for moderately fit people although around the coast is pretty good now that the seabed is 2 metres higher you don't get your feet wet.

This is perfect for a day/afternoon. It’s FREE and it has stunning views. You can walk it in either direction and get the same effect. Takes about 4 hours if you are stopping and taking pictures. Food closer to town for you to grab along...More

We completed the 11km round trip with a baby in pram. Definitely not pram accessible however with a little lifting and mud maneuvering, we made it. The walk is beautiful, 2.5 hour round trip. Seals, cows, sheep and birds a plenty. Worth the effort.

We left from our Bed and Breakfast which is on the door step on the national park, The Point B & B, and within 5 mins we found seals lazing on the walkway! Steer clear and give them their space - much nicer experience for...More

Easy walk near the seals. Good to walk up the pathway and get the view from above. Some of the best views we've seen anywhere in the world. Free!!

Morning walks along the Kaikoura Peninsula were breathtaking. Seals sunbathing in the sun, beautiful water and waves. We had such a great time here taking wonderful photos of this gem to share. Highly recommend a visit if you go to Kaikoura, a must do:)

A beautiful walk along the top of the peninsula with breathtaking views. We started at the seal colony car park and walked up a paved path until we got to the lookout at the top. I am very unfit so took my time walking up,...More

This is absolutely stunning. The views are immense, from the mountains to the sea. The track is well marked, I would recommend walking shoes or boots in the winter as it can be muddy. You will see hundreds of seals and can even take a...More

If you're able to walk 2-3 hours I would really recommend the whole walk. You get a very nice view of the peninsula. Further you see a lot of seals and birds.

A great walk with wonderful views of the ocean. Can be windy. Steep climb from the car park but no steps to the top of the cliffs. Beautifully kept and signage was helpful. You can go from either end.

Not sure about Ohau walkway, but quite possible after the earthquake. The place I started on the walkway was at the Port Kean viewpoint (there's a car park near there to drive up to so you can start the walk). I heard the... More

Hi, I think at this moment you cannot drive the coast road from Blendheim to Kaikoura. You need to drive inside the south Island and drive back to Kaikoura. The walk is free. It take about 3h, depend how far you walk... More
