Looking over the harbour is worth the visit from Koombana Bay. Lovely calm beach and grassed areas for a picnic

Very nice beach, close to a cafeteria and playgrounds. The water is quite peaceful so for us, a family with 6 children, this is ideal. We also brought our kayak and we were lucky enough to see the dolphins very close to the boat while we were out on the water. Parking is free.

We spent many hours on this beach with our 4 year old during our recent trip to Bunbury. As well as the promise of seeing a Dolphin or two, it also has very few waves (good for the kids), several large sun sails, toilets, a kiosk and parking only 10 metres from the sand. All in all, it's a nice... More

We went to Koombana Bay for picnic lunch an our way back to Mandurah from Busselton. I read some reviews said the possibility to see dolphins in this area but it seemed that we were unlucky. Otherwise it was a nice, peaceful spot for us to have picnic there. There were public toilets available and also bbq area. There were... More

We went here on our stay in Bunbury. We were told there's a chance you can see the famous Bunbury dolphins swim here from the beach but we didn't spot any. Beach is not too busy and the bay provides a great place to have a swim on a hot day. The parking is good too.

Beautiful Koombana bay , beautiful waters . All so peaceful , just to sit and watch the world go by, have to say Bunbury is a lovely town and plenty to do or do nothing at times.

I prefer the Back Beach to this beach, however this beach is very popular with tourists, especially with caravan and chalet accommodation opposite the road and also apartment accommodation. This beach is where the Dolphin Discovery Centre is located. As for swimming, the water is calm, feels a little colder than the water at the back beach and the sand... More

This is the best beach to take your kids to, calm water, only small waves if any, usually alot of people there, there are shaded areas and a kiosk/cafe although it isnt open very often.

Koombana Bay is an ideal place to take a beach stroll. Also you can sit and watch the beach volleyball matches from undercover or from the beach. The bay is protected from the wind and a good swimming spot.
