We arrived a little late but made it for the hour cruise on the mighty Murray. I had been on the Pevensey about 25 years ago and also loved the miniseries All the Rivers Run. From start to finish the journey was great with good commentary and some quiet time to reflect on how the journey may have been in... More

How great you made it back onboard the PS Pevensey after 25 years. She certainly is a famous old boat and star of 'All the Rivers Run' as you so fondly remembered. Don't leave it quite so long next time for another cruise! More

Quite cheap with concession discount. River is a very muddy colour and banks are a bit scrappy with dead trees and stuff, but the ride itself was quite memorable! Was wonderful watching and hearing the steam engine come to life to poer the paddles. Equally exciting to watch and photograph the other paddle steamers cruising up the river. Shame the... More

Thanks for coming onboard for the hour cruise. Being a historic boat the cruises only take the hour and the PS Pevensey has not been modified for lunches or dinners to enable you to experience life as it was on a working boat 106 years ago. More

We took a morning cruise on this historic paddle boat which we thoroughly enjoyed. It's a unique experience to ply the waters of the Mighty Murray, as our pioneers did. Steam driven, wood powered, this vessel keeps true to it's unique past as a necessary part of the early transportation of this old river port. It went for an hour... More

We are so pleased you enjoyed the 'step back in time' onboard the historic old boat the PS Pevensey. She certainly is a 'genuine old paddlesteamer' the oldest operating in Echuca and a perfect example of a working boat from the river trade era. More

We walked down to the Echuca wharf to ride a Paddle Steamer. The one we initially chose advertised their charter and said bookings available on board, this was not the case, so in lieu of that, we then chose the PS Pevensey over the other one as Pevensey's friendly staff offered advice, courtesy and a "no fuss" adventure. It was... More

I went on this cruise with my elderly parents. The cruise itself was very good, very informative with narrative as you cruised down the Murray. The boat was set up so you could imagine how people live on this vessel in years past. And there were plenty of places to just sit and watch as you cruised up and down... More

We are glad you enjoyed the experience. Sadly the walk is a little longer for the elderly, we are the only Paddlesteamers to depart from the historic wharf and this is the only access which can take up to 15 mins for the elderly. We do have access to a wheelchair for those who require assistance to get to the... More

We have been coming to Echuca many years and have been on many a paddle steamer rides but I really enjoyed this one as it's actually a paddle steamer, some of the others are diesel powered. The steam engine is in full view and you can watch the guys at work, sit up front on the " wool bails" and... More

Riverboats were the main way of transportation back in the late 1880. The train bridge then became a large way of taking supplies to and from Melbourne, Ballarat and Bendigo.

Ever since I watched 'all the rivers run' as a child always wanted to visit the area. Was pleased to learn that the original boat is still in operation. Really enjoyed the experience so much that we went back this year and will be back again. Love it that they let dogs on the board.

Yes she is a famous old girl and was the 'Philadelphia' in 'All the Rivers Run' so you enjoy so much history when you step onboard. We are pet friendly so don't hesitate to bring your dog again next visit. More
