What a wonderful gallery. We were especially lucky to be there to see all the gallery's stock which was on display during the celebration of their 130 year anniversary. Some great exhibits that featured many old and new art works. Worth a visit.

The thing I like most in Bendigo art gallery is the creating zone. You can make your own art in there. Hand craft, sketches, everything inspires you.

I have just become a member. I have been to some excellent exhibitions here, the permanent collection is very good and the Bendigo Art Gallery has many talks and opportunities to engage with the gallery. I plan to attend a drawing course there soon.

I recently visited Bendigo during the Easter long weekend. I had heard only good things of the Bendigo Art Gallery, and they were spot on! I enjoyed New and old art, walking into the many rooms of exhibits which were filled with amazing paintings and mixed media. I must do activity!

I read this was a must when visiting Bendigo. A very well presented building with interested staff. The collection on show was based on the gallery's own stock to celebrate I don't know how many years operating. I'm no arty type but enjoyed the experience

We were only in Bendigo for a week - but visited here 3 times - the children wanted to go back. Staff were very welcoming, Activity sheet was thoughtful and engaged adults and children, sketch book activity was enjoyed, but the most fun was had in the create your own pop up gallery. Just brilliant!

Well worth a visit and better than expected. Themed rooms grouping various disparate artists by topic 'animals' , 'portraits' etc a nice touch . Lovely cafe. House of Mirrors special exhibit adjacent to gallery great fun!

This was a pleasant surprise, for a relatively small city this is a very good gallery. At the time we were there the entire gallery had an exhibition from the gallery's collection - and it was well curated. An eclectic mix of modern and older works, but they went together well - plenty of contrast and mix of styles but... More
