I find the lake concept of Lake Weeroona at Bendigo is similar to that of Ballarat and Albert Park Lake of Melbourne. All three set at the edge of town, and is good size of about 5 km, providing opportunity for a good 30 min jog, one hour normal pace walk, picnic or just chill out. Having a lake also... More

This is a great spot for a walk or jog around the lake. The cafe is dog friendly if you want a break with your 4 legged friend and there are toilets on both sides of the lake.

A great place to go for a stroll or to catch up for a coffee with some friends. Very relaxing an with plenty of room, a cafe for lunch or afternoon tea. If you like to exercise it has a great walking/jogging track. Family friendly a great place to spend a few hours.

If you need some outdoor space this is a great spot. Nice paths and walks around Lake, the park and equipment to let kids blow off steam on road trips is excellent. Toilets are nice, kept clean.

We wAlked around the lake. There were plenty of people having picnics. This lake has a cafe at one end, that over looks the lake. Lots of different bird life..

Watch the ducks swimming in the lake, relax. Take your lunch and sit by the lake. Pick up a hot dog from there, enjoy a coffee. Or visit the restaurant overlooking the lake. Escape from time, very relaxing.

Lake Weroona has the best outdoor play area in town. The fort is fantastic. The lake is a great spot for a walk or even a picnic.

This is such a lovely walk around this lake. It is always so busy and happening here with people walking, running, riding, having a picnic etc. Very popular spot for exercise groups and makes me feel like Bendigo is actually full of people who love to exercise. The walk around the lake has several variations in the path that surrounds... More

How lucky is Bendigo to have such a lovely lake to walk around. Many people took advantage of the great weather and were walking or jogging, some with their dogs. Lots of flowers and bushes/trees to look at, along with lots of bird life.

Lake Weeroona is a good spot for a picnic or enjoy a walk around it. Great playground area for children, ducks etc and a nice area of grass and seating. The Boardwalk cafe is down one end for refreshments, or quite often there are food vans for snacks up near the playground. Relaxing area.
