Yes, the trees & flowers are beautiful but visiting the the Japanese Macaque monkey enclosure is a sad & depressing experience. Their enclosure is stark & bare and all the monkeys seem bored and some look very unwell.

This is a well maintained park, lots of greenery, beautiful old rotundas ,trees a pond for the ducks and a park for the kids. Train rides can be had. Monkees interesting?? Great place for a picnic, concerts and Launceston Festival.
