One of the most picturesque wineries in the Tamar Valley. Cellar door was modern and the staff helpful. The restaurant looked good but only tried the coffee. Whilst no standouts wines, however, we thought they have a range of reasonable to good quality wine. Well worth the visit.

Visited with another couple as we checked out the vineyards in Relbia. Sadly only 2 vineyards were open on the area but lovely wines and great relaxing location. There is the standard &5 tasting fee at Chromys ... lovely wines and pleasant service although staff did not seem as passionate or knowledgeable as those at smaller vineyards. Beautiful setting and... More

A good selection of wines in what is a small 'cellar door'... it would be chaos if there were more than a half a dozen people there I think.. as there was only 1 person serving at the small counter, and to be fair to customers, others waited whilst wine was poured and discussed. Don't be put off by the... More

Stopped into Josef Chromy en route to Hobart. Friendly cellar door staff greeted us and were knowledgeable about the wine. Pinot was tasty as was their Chardy. Limited list but that's fine when you're driving. Lots of photo opportunities here. Restaurant looked lovely and you can order cheese platters and enjoy them under the lovely trees.

Absolutely breathtaking! Wish I could have stayed longer. Need to pay $10 for tasting but waived if buying a bottle (avg 30$). They also had a list of wines they kept for those with allergies which I really appreciated. Again would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the views and try the ales. Came toward closing and they were... More

This is my second time to Josef Chromy. Loved it so much organised to take friends there. Josef Chromy has an amazing story of his life and can only be considered uplifting in everything he has done. You will understand that when you read his story. Organised a cellar tour and don't expect anything like 100 year old brick rooms... More

A must do on your list of things to do in Tasmania. Sharyn guided us around the property, the winery processing and the amazing cellar. Sharyn was sensational at pointing out the flavours to look for and went through the different stages of wine tasting from oak barrels After the informative tour and tasting, there was another full list of...
