We arrived at the grounds of Josef Chromy to find one of the most spectacular cellar doors and surrounding gardens we had seen up to that point in Tasmania. Apron entering the cellar door we were met by a staff member that could not have...More

Hi Darryl - thank you for your feedback. Your wine tasting experience falls well below our usual standard - please accept our apology. With a number of new staff on board for the high season, it would appear that we have not adequately trained every...More

We should have skipped this winery. Cellar door not sign posted at all so we inadvertently went the wrong way and were berated by staff. Tastings are stingy and only 5 wines to sample so not really worth the $20 we paid for the privilege...More

Thank you for your feedback. There is only a single entrance to our building, unless guests follow the verandah around to the rear where our garden bar is located. As such, we have not previously identified a need to increase our signage. This will be...More

Excellent winery and impressive cellar door. The customer service on the cellar door is second to none in terms of service and wine knowledge. The wines are impressive and a good selection from whites to reds. I loved the Riesling and Sparkling from the whites. The...More

We visited to experience the wines and see the place we'd read about. The wines are great, but the Brut NV was our favourite. Certainly a beautiful place to sit and stare out at the lovely gardens with a glass of wine.

Was recommended to see but felt a little disappointed really. No tours, just a cellar door and a restaurant. No place to have a light feed and coffee, restaurant is only for a sit down lunch and dinner at rather high prices .

My husband and I had a tasting at the ar door while we waited for our lunch to be served in the restaurant (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). The staff were friendly and enthusiast with no pretentious attitude like some cellar door staff. Being a red drinker I...More

We enjoyed a wine tasting before our lunch at the restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable, despite being quite busy with several groups. Five wines were offered for tasting, including the Chardonnay which Josef Chromy is best known for. The cellar door is...More
