My friend and I chose to walk the streets of Launceston city. We found the people very friendly and more than willing to give advice. It is interesting to view buildings from "person" height instead of on a coach or similar. We wandered past the Jewish synagogue and spoke with a man and a boy who had attended prayers. We... More

Launceston is a small, quiet town, but the lady leading this tour was passionate about its history and pointed out many details of its beautiful old buildings which we would otherwise probably not have noticed, and we would certainly not have known the history behind them. Worth doing if you are staying in the area for a few days, to... More

Visitors are provided with interesting examples of past community life, told the differences among Victorian, Georgian and Federation... More

There were only two of us on the tour, but Robyn spoke as passionately as if she were giving a speech at a grand hall. Her flair for drama made the tour engaging, as well as educational. This was a terrific way to appreciate Launceston, and get a feel for its history and present.

I was the only traveller to take this walking tour on a rainy Thursday morning. Robyn took the tour, it was very enjoyable and she clearly has a lot of passion for her city and enjoys sharing it with others. The tour covers many of Launceston's heritage buildings, sites, and provides some historical context for the city. My only suggestion... More

we really enjoyed our tour with Robyn. Great insight to the buildings in Launceston and the people who lived in them. It is wonderful to see so many historical buildings. The 1842 Gallery is excellant, the craftmanship is a real credit, beautiful, art and photography all worth admiring and buying.
