Nan Tien is very different from most tourist attractions because there is so much to offer: the visual delights of grandeur architecture, art & culture including unique exhibitions & festivals, Buddhist festivals, vegetarian culinary delights, educational & healthy life style classes & retreats, accommodation, top class conference and auditorium facilities as well as beautiful gardens & walks. There is also the spiritual and religious experience that is unforgettable and even life changing for some.

This is my second stay here, with business, the staff here are always friendly, it's always very quiet. The rooms are small, but the beds are comfy, they don't have any cooking amenities in the room, and they only have I microwave downstairs for the whole building, they really need to have at least one on each floor's kitchenette( there... Am I the only one who finds reviewing a place of worship just a teensy bit crass? "I'm allowed to be here, and encouraged to be here, and look at things and buy the trinkets, but there's some folks fervently praying not three steps from where I'm gawping at the Buddha." Well whatever, we're all capitalist opportunists here, right? Let's... More

This was my first ever temple I visited. I enjoyed the Zen calligraphy. Beautiful grounds. I can't quite relate to the spiritual side of it but it was an interesting experience.

Nan Tien temple is an amazing attraction. A good combination of culture, nature, art, religion, and history. There are different spots to visit in Non Tien. Regular temples, museums, gift shop, exhibitions and so forth. The place is so clean, beautiful and relaxing.

It's about an hour drive out of Sydney. The temple has a calm and serene aura. The prayer halls are breathtaking. A good place to visit if you're looking for peace within. Plenty free parking available. Pagoda wasn't accessible the day we visited (Friday). Not sure when it's open to the public. Port Kembla and Wollongong isn't far if you... More

Nestled in Wollongong, the temple is an absolutely gorgeous place to visit. You can walk around the tranquil gardens and learn a lot about Buddhism and Taiwanese culture.

Lots of things to see and a very interesting cultural experience. You have to wear long pants and cover your shoulders or else borrow sarongs from the office! Wear easy to remove shoes! It's amazing you only need to give gold coin donations to experience this beautiful place. Highly recommend if you are looking for something interesting and different.

A must see "largest Buddhist Temple in the Southern Hemisphere". The main entrance to the temple is very majestic. The Buddhist values and wisdoms very very interesting and they say that its a place of enlightenment, peace and serenity which we certainly experienced. The overall complex includes an 8 Level Pagoda, a walkway to the top of the hill leads... More
