OK so it is a fair while since I've walked this track but it is a really pretty walk through several breach areas. You can jump on at many different parts and walk just a bit or you go all out and walk from central port Macquarie almost all the way to lake Cathie. Very scenic either way

This a wonderful walk, to complete the whole you do need to be fit but you can just do a section. If you like to take photos you must take your camera

Over 6 kilometres of beauty, flora, fauna, beaches and wonderful views. Definitely an excercise routine on it's own. Passed some people who thought it was a little difficult in some stages. but we really enjoyed it.

I've only done part of the walk but it's absolutely brilliant. The local tributes on the breakwall is amazing and is a must to any visitor. It's the long way for me from my hotel to the town centre but I go that way every time to take it in.

Very good walk for photographers wanting great shots of the beaches and local Flora. Walking track is accessible in most areas to wheelchairs as well as other pedestrians, Track is in good repair and easy to negotiate.

We did 7km from the Mantra to 500m short of the lighthouse. Across beaches (including nudist beach - glad I read the reviews before hand on this as had 2 'interesting, close encounters'!). Quite a few steps and hills, so a medium level of fitness required. Only issue we found was getting back from nr. Lighthouse. Waited for a bus,... More

The beaches of Port Macquarie are a highlight and are showcased with a gentle walk for as little or as long as you like. If you start at Lighthouse you can walk all the way into town along the coastline and across several beautiful beaches...all are linked with walkways and steps especially along the 'Doctor's Walk' from Windmill Hill down... This walk can be done in sections for those who prefer short walks but easily done for those who walk frequently. Views are great and there are many different plants growing along the way. It would not be pleasant in blazing mid-summer sun at noon.
