There are not many animals of each specie and lots of space for them to hide from the public. Better bring your long telephoto lenses and binoculars. Avoid school holidays to avoid lots of kids on push-bikes.

It will take you 5-6 hours drive from Sydney, I would suggest saying two nights If you want to see all the attractions and maybe take in a couple of zoo keeper talks you will need a full day, say 9am to 4pm. I certainly... More
