Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We decided to spend the long weekend in Bathurst and went out to explore the historic sights. Hill End and Sofala proved disappointing so we decided to do the walking tour of Bathurst city. We discovered the tour of the Bell tour which was adjacent to All Saints Cathedral. This proved to be an absolute delight. The tour was led by Chris, who was both a wonderful source of information and incredibly passionate about his Bell Ringing. The tour included an historical talk, a tour of the bell tour and the best view of Bathurst from the top of the tower. At the top of the tower Chris rang the bell so that we could experience what happens when the bells ring (headsets provided). We have visited bell towers in Europe but never had such a close up view of the bells and experienced a bell tower like this. Chris gave us a great afternoon, a very unexpected surprise.

It was a nice surprise to actually find a church that was open to the public. We were fortunate also to come across a couple of members of the congregation who very obligingly gave us a tour and provided us with information on the development of this place of worship. This was very much appreciated as the cathedral is a mixture of architectural styles and needs a little bit of explanation. The wall hangings are delightful.

Disappointed with the exterior, front bell tower looks more like an apartment complex. Interior very modern with interesting sextant wooden ceiling. Leaves a lot to be desired for a cathedral.

Lovely church including new and old. The newer part of this cathedral was rebuilt due to Bathurst's clay soils and the fact the church was cracking and required a rebuild. The older section including Chapter House and Warriors Chapel, go back many years of historical significance. This church often holds concerts and are well conducted.
The Belltower is the most recent addition and it is so lovely to hear the bells peel, as it reminds you often of Westminster Abbey in London (UK). The beautiful stained glass windows are covered by fundraising to have them cleaned and restored. Not a cheap exercise by any means and donations are gladly received and appreciated.
There is a leaflet in The Narthex entrance area, after you have passed through the belltower area, to the cathedral for self-guided tours. If you have a tour group visiting, please contact the Parish Registry Office (Ph: 02. 6331 4711), well beforehand and a guide may be made available for your visit.

We would have preferred it more if it had not been modernised however it's still worth a visit for viewing or prayer.

This is an interesting modern cathedral in the middle of the city, and right next to the carillon. In fact, the new cathedral bell tower was probably designed to complement the carillon. The cathedral has three main parts: the bell tower, the hexagonal open plan auditorium, and the adjoining original building. There are many interesting items to appreciate here: the stained glass, the large colourful hangings, the impressive organ, the historic Warriors' Chapel. I am always interested to see cathedrals being built for the present day.

It is delightful to see a Cathedral open for prayer and such a sense of warm welcome. In the foyer there are historic photos of the old Cathedral - architecturally they seem to have lost a lot of grandeur in the new design. However great sense of light and serenity.

A great venue for a concert and totally undervalued by the locals!
Great acoustics and beautiful setting often hosts visiting celebrities as well as good local acts for minimal cost.
