Great location and walking paths. Located right next to the botanic gardens so makes for a great day out. Lots of birdlife along the river banks. Plenty of lawns and playgrounds for picnics etc. Very relaxing place.

It's possible to swim, to amble or jog and to cycle the paths safely. Bear in mind, for swimming, the current is strong mid river. Lovely shade, grassy areas and bird friendly trees provide a pleasant afternoon or day of recreation.

Nice under the trees or sitting at the tables there. I would like to see the main area near the café being animal free to make it more relaxing. Dogs running around chasing balls near & through where people are relaxing, have a separate area...More
