About
The farm Demarie, which for over 3 generations produces wines in the Roero, is pleased to welcome you to its structure. The winery, currently run by the sons of Giovanni Demarie: Aldo, Paolo and his wife Monica, was renewed in 2013 by the construction of a new structure. The new winery uses the most modern and environmentally friendly technologies: solar panels to produce electricity, a biomass boiler that also uses the branches of the vines for heating and a system of filtering wetlands for treatment of wastewater. In the cellar the grapes processed derive from the vineyards owned by the family Demarie, for the production of typical wines of the territory south-Piedmontese, in particular, the white Roero Arneis, also in the classic method sparkling version, and reds Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Roero Riserva, Barolo, Barbaresco. Matching with desserts we offer the sweet wines Moscato d'Asti and Birbet from brachetto grapes.

We enjoyed a super wine tasting + very interesting tour. Excellent wines and very friendly staff. We were lucky to visit during harvesting so we could witness some parts of the process.

Best Wine Experience in Italy
Oct 2019
My girlfriend and I met Paolo at the International Alba White Truffle Fair, where Demarie had a booth that we were able to try a few of their wines at. We were not previously familiar with Demarie, but were impressed with their quality, and asked Paolo if they did any wine tours.

Our only free day was the following, and despite it not being a regular business day for them, Paolo met us both at the winery and gave us a personal tour. It was amazing. I learned so much about the wine making process, and got to witness the harvesting of the grapes while I was there.

After the tour, Paolo shared some wines with us and we continued our education about the Piedmont region while sharing anecdotes about life. It was all such a wonderful and unique experience, and we left there with six bottles of wine to bring home.

I love that Demarie is a family business. They are all clearly passionate and care about what they are creating. It was inspiring. I feel so lucky that we happened to try their wines at the festival and decided to visit on a whim. I can't recommend Demarie enough.

Grazie mille Paolo!

Best winery visit ever!!
Oct 2019 • Family
What an amazing and inspiring winery! We booked a tour/visit with Monica and her Husband, Paolo, was our host. Everything about this winery is amazing. The history, the stories, the knowledge, the technology around the facility itself and their very green and environmental approach and of course the wine.... we had a very generous and delicious wine tasting. 6/7 wines and all of them really good. We bought what we could fly home with and I really hope we make it back again. We had 3 small kids with us, no problem, playground, food and the dogs “chasing” my 4 year old made sure they were entertained :-)
A real pleasure.
Hope the generations continue here....

Fintan, it was a pleasure to host you and your nice family. Hopefully we can visit you in Norway in the future, or we would be happy to welcome you in the winery again soon. Say hello to the kids and your husband. Monica

A 'must try' winery for any wine enthusiast. We enjoyed an informative tour of the winery with our host Monica and sampled a number their impressive range of wines. Bought several cases of wine which Monica arranged shipment thereof back to the UK. A great visit

Outstanding wine tasting and family company!
Sep 2018 • Couples
We were fortunate to have Paulo Demarie from this vineyard visit our wine club in the United States so when we planned this trip to Italy we made sure to include his vineyard on our itinerary and how happy we were to visit such a great family company!

After an interesting wine tour where we actually saw a load of white grapes delivered and pumped into the vat, we sat down to try several wines! Of course we selected the widest variety to try, starting with a very, very good light white called arnais. There were also great breadsticks, cheeses and meats to sample with all the wines! The arnais was clean and crisp and slightly “ minerally “, just like I like white wines!
Then we tried an excellent sparkling wine that was again outstanding! We moved on to our favorites - the reds and tried the Roero, Barbaresco and Barolos! All outstanding! So of course we had to bring some home! Very reasonable prices and shipping!

Outstanding visit! Do not miss this when in this area!

Great winery and charming hosts
May 2018 • Couples
Our visit was part of a day of tour/tastings at several wineries in the region, and the most enjoyable one of the day! Monica was very warm and engaging, and we learned alot about a region we previously knew very little about. The tasting at the end with a selection of meats and cheese to showcase the wines, and learning more about the history of the winery made it easily the best visit of our tour.

Charming wine tour; fantastic tastings

Very modern winery in Roero, which is a region many may not have heard of before. They make great wines, capitalizing on the different terroir of Roero to express Nebbiolo in a very different way from the Langhe. The tour was fun and informative. I really liked the wines!

I was referred to this lovely vineyard/winery by a friend. I am glad I got to visit. I was the only person during my visit, so I got a personal tour, tasting and company of one of the owners, Monica. One of the best times I had in Italy. I brought back 1/2 a case. Great wine, great winery and family. Try the Nebbiolo. One of my favorites.

Gorgeous winery & lovely hosts

We spent a few hours with Monica and Paolo as part of our trip to Barolo and the surrounding area. We booked an appointment (v easy to do using their website) and were met by Monica for a really interesting tour round the very modern and eco-friendly winery. After the tour we were shown the full selection of Demarie wines and invited to pick whichever 5 we wanted to taste - Monica was happy to make suggestions to help us choose! We ended up with a selection that included sparkling, white, red and sweet so quite a variety.

Paolo then sat with us and talked us through each of the wines, the information he gave was really interesting and he was more than happy to answer any and all questions - I think we covered everything from how the DOC/DOCG systems work to the impact of Brexit on wine exporting!! The wines were really good and accompanied by breadsticks as well as some lovely meats, cheeses and sauces to match. Two hours just flew by.

All in all it was a really enjoyable afternoon, thank you Demarie! We bought as much wine as we could given our flights back to the UK but would have quite happily taken more with us if we could!

Our winetasting at Demarie
May 2016 • Couples
A modern facility where excellent wine is produced in an ecofriendly surrounding. We were welcomed by Paolo, who gave us a tour of the facility. Than we were given the opportunity to taste their different wines. The wines are of an excellent quality. The tasting took place in an impressive tastingroom. At a unique 6m metre long massive table overviewing the vineyards. We highly recommend visiting this place.
