We were blessed with warm sunshine and clear skies for our Glow worm experience. The high speed cruise across Lake Te Anau provided us with opportunities to view the majestic snow-capped mountains. It was a little difficult to hear some of the commentary whilst we...More

My husband and I were very excited for this tour, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to issues with the boat. What was most frustrating was waking up at 6am and making it to the pickup point/waiting for the bus only then to be told...More

The glowworms cave in Te Anau might be a good trip to do but we didn’t have the opportunity to experience it as Real Journeys Agency cancelled twice, the second time we were stocked in the middle of the lake for more than 30min. No...More

An interesting trip but NOT worth the exorbitant cost - they know they can charge whatever they want and they do - I wouldn’t pay for this experience knowing what I know now. Save your money.

I visited New Zealand for the first time and drove from Queenstown down to Ta Anau to see the glow worms. I had the best time! Although there weren't as many glow worms as I had hoped, the experience was amazing. The Real Journeys staff...More

Visited these caves on the trip from Te Anau by boat, wasn't expecting a lot but found them brilliant! Lovely trip across the lake & gloworms were amazing. The caves would not be suitable for those who suffer from claustrophobia or afraid of the dark!...More

I would look to go during the day, as the boat ride over has fantastic views and should you miss the boat you will not automatically get on the next boat.

Not recommend if I was claustrophobic as there are low ceilings and dark periods with no exits to escape.
