We really loved the routeburn track! We started at the divide and finished at the glenorchy end!!! Met some wonderful people from all over the world!! We stayed in the huts which were great! The only downfall was the shared beds! We were lucky enough...More

Walked through in a day, with a good level of fitness very achievable. With 12 hours of daylight you still have time to look around and take in the views. Finished at 3pm hitched a ride into Te Anau, plenty of traffic at that time....More

Tiring but worth every minute of it. Stunning scenery with several interesting plants and trees. Limited wild life though.

3 of us started at the Divide near Te Anau, drove our car to the start and used Easyhike to relocate our car to the Routeburn shelter. Was such a great solution if you can split the cost, worked out much cheaper than the shuttle...More

We didn't walk it all, but the first 20 mins was enough with small kids, they got to see small waterfalls & there are great views into the valley

We walked the Routeburn Track from the Glenorchy end through to the Divide in early April. The walk was stunning with views and terrain that changed hour by hour. This was our second Great Walk and first that involved overnighting in DoC (Department of Conservation)...More

Not a hard hike if you're sort of fit and if you have good weather. We went from the Divide to Routeburn Flats in one go then finished the trek the next day(2 days 1 night). The first bit up frim the divide until Mackenzie...More

Arranged for a pickup and took a scenic ride to our park location, I appreciate that the guide provided rain gear as it did rain a bit but it did not put a damper on anything. The terrain requires a moderate amount of fitness we...More

When we did the track there were a few fit people that were doing it in a day, looked like a long day but as you say you are fit it is very do-able. The track itself is wide and well marked.
