This cinema offers a wonderful introduction to the Fiordlands. Go 15 minutes early and get a beverage / snacks from the Black Dog bar connected to the cinema.

Large seats that you can get very comfortable in. Nice option being able to purchase cheesecakes or coffees to eat during the movie. It pays to book ahead if it is during the school holidays. It's a bit pricey.

Yes, where else can you watch a breathtaking helicopter photo journey though this amazing corner of the world while enjoying a superb homemade cheesecake! They also have a bar which we were told by locals was great.

The theater itself was excellent as was the film 'ATA WHENUA'. DO NOT BUY THE DVD and expect it to be exactly like the film you saw. The theater film version was exciting. The DVD I purchased was redundant and music boring.More

We went to the Fiordland Cinema to view the Fiordland film which I highly recommend to everyone! It definitely showcases the Fiordland national park. What a lovely cinema with very comfortable chairs and cleverly decorated foyer in the "cinema" theme too. The 30-40min Fiordland film...More
