It was great to see a dumping ground in Queenstown reclaimed and used for such a purpose. Early days for the park, but the work put in to date is fantastic - particularly liked the kiwi bird enclosure and live bird shows were both great....More

Zoo was relaxing and the show was entertaining. Don't expect to get really good looks at Kiwi as the birds are kept in really dark exhibits where it takes ~10 minutes for your eyes to adjust. Cameras are not permitted to take pics of the...More

This place is just amazing. As a kiwi who has been to a few bird parks throughout new Zealand this one is right up there in the top. Such a stunning area, well laid out, easy to find, amazing staff. The kiwi enclosure is top...More

Doing great things for wildlife conservation with unbelievably no government funding, guaranteed to see a kiwi bird, a bit expensive compared to the 3 zoo's in Melbourne (everything in NZ is expensive) but the Vic state Government own them, plenty of cash.

I visited with a few friends as we'd been in New Zealand a while and still hadn't seen kiwis. The place is great, with two indoor huts and regular feedings there is no way you wont see one. Once your eyes adjust to the dark...More

We went because we needed to see a Kiwi bird whist in NZ. We paid $80 for family of 4. It’s more like a $40 experience. 3 birds that walk around in the dark a d dig in the dirt. 20 minutes total....max.

The kiwis are housed in 2 separate buildings and, since they are nocturnal creatures, the lighting is very low so you have to enter quietly and wait a few moments for your eyes to adjust then it's surprising how much you can actually see and...More

We enjoyed our visit to the park and the chance to walk about the peaceful setting. We liked the bird show and thought the presentation was well done. Our kids got a big kick out of seeing the kiwis!

We went there to see kiwi birds. The 2 tickets cost $98 which we thought was too expensive for what we got but we understand that it is a private park with no government financial support. The bird show was good with enthusiastic staff. The...More

This park has no govt funding and whilst the entrance fee might seem a lot it helps maintain these important creatures. The show is very informative and worth the fee. I'd much rather contribute to the local economy this way than ride the gondola next...More

Hello, We would usually recommend between 1.5 to 2 hours to visit the whole park. The audio tour takes 45- 60 minutes, the Conservation Show runs for 30 minutes and the Kiwi Feed takes 15-20 minutes. Your ticket is a... More

Hi, thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately, you will need to purchase your gondola and Kiwi Birdlife Park tickets separately as we no longer offer the Kiwi Kombo. We hope that you are able to visit our Park :)
