We came here in early November and attempted to hike to Lake Alta. Though we didn't make it because there was too much snow remaining, it was a wonderful and challenging hike nevertheless. Be aware that in summer, the ski lodge is closed so there...More

We caught the snow bus up the mountain. For $20 per person it was worth it as it was really convenient and saved navigating that road ourselves. The trip took about 45 minutes to get to the top from Queenstown. We were intending to just...More

Fantastic ski field with a range of different difficulty slopes. Also has lots of terrain slopes with jumps and boxes etc. Opportunities to purchase lessons and lots of indoor sitting areas to warm up over lunch.

Ski season was still in full swing. While there was just enough snow to ski, the prices were still in high season.... would have considered to give it a try, but considering the quality of the snow end of September, the price for the lift...More

Hi Lise, We are sorry that was your impression. The snow conditions are actually quite different to what you would have experienced at the base lodge. Once you gain more altitude the snow conditions get better and better and Sugar Bowl (out to the left)...More

Sorry but I don't really know for sure, there were none that I could see, but some extremely steep runs are definately part of it.
