Milford Sound is beautiful. We saw waterfalls and seals and went all the way out to the Tasman Sea. However, what we will never forget from our day with Real Journeys is the half-hour ride there and back in a very small plane! If you're at all afraid of flying (I was), this will definitely cure you for good. It's... More

This Nature Cruise uses a larger ship than most, with a full bar and snacks available for purchase. (free coffee/tea). Also it wouldn't be tossed around in rough seas as much as the smaller boat tours. I went ahead and booked this particular cruise because it was the shoulder season and there probably wouldn't be as many people . I'm... More

This was the one event we booked prior to arriving in NZ- a bucket list item. The drive from Te Anau was magnificent- we stopped for lots of short walks and to enjoy the magnificent scenery. The Mariner cabin was comfortable for two (we were on the lower deck- so you had to stand on the bed to see out... More

We helicoptered in to meet the Milford Wanderer and our 7 day voyage started at Preservation Inlet .The vessel gave us a very comfortable home for our voyage The... More

We couldn't be bothered to drive to Milford Sound so we chose RealJourneys and it was worth every dollar!! It was perfect to be able to sit and take in the scenery while listening to commentary in their glass ceiling bus. Almost as impressive as Fjiordland National Park was our driver's (Brian) ability to talk and drive the narrow and... More

My partner and I recently stayed on the Milford Mariner for an overnight cruise. Booked well in advance online, booking and checking in was very easy. Once aboard, we were given a quick introduction/safety demonstrated and invited to check in to our rooms. We had a single room, and having never stayed on a boat/cruise before, we found the room... Our kayaking trip was cancelled do to inclement weather, so my friend and I decided to take the Milford Mariner cruise instead. We had a great time, despite the weather. Our director had lots of helpful information. We also got to see seals and penguins! The ship had complimentary coffee and hot chocolate, which was greatly appreciated! The rain was... More

Kia Ora and thanks for taking the time to post this feedback. We are pleased you managed to join us for our scenic cruise on the sound. We agree that it's amazing in the rain - hundreds of waterfalls cascading off the cliffs everywhere? What's not to like!! Kind Regards, the team at Real Journeys. More

We started with a very long bus ride from Queenstown through Te Anau to Milford Sound. What a beautiful way to see the area however a tip for selecting a seat. DO NOT SIT IN FRONT OF CHILDREN!!! 5 hours of chair kicking and I had had it. The main attraction was spectacular and something everyone should experience. Highly recommend... More

Fantastic tour. It will bring you around to beautiful waterfalls and if you are lucky enough, you will get to watch the dolphins swim! Do not miss this Milford sound tour by real journey!
