less structured that Queens park, and a little bit more like bush land. There is a little section across the highway too, but it isnt that big. Paths can be muddy, specially after rain as its low level ground with a high water table.

Coming from Auckland, I have high standards for parks and gardens, and this garden was really well preserved and look after. you can wander around for hours and there will still be corners to explore!

Participated in the Mothers Day Fun Run through Turnbull Thompson Park. Great for a run and up onto the Waihopi River bank. You can do a 5km circuit. Plenty of parking.

Get lost easily on tracks. Very low energy area. Doesnt feel nice. Better parks. Recommend Queens park, Elles Road, Andersons park.
