Like much of Dunedin, this is a beautifully preserved building which is very easy on the eye. And yet I had never heard anything about it. We came here for Sunday mass and it was just acheingly beautiful.

The outside of the cathedral (catholic) is more interesting than the inside. Impressive Scottisch and gothic revival style building.

what great architecture, sitting on a superb sight, definitely worth the walk up the hill even if you are not a church goer.

The church is located off the beaten track from the hustle and bustle of the Octagon. Up the hill and around the corner, the views are lovely. Not many tourists fill the space which makes for peace and quiet. The windows are lovely.
