We went past this statue during our tram ride through Christchurch. It is a good statue with a lovely story but not worth going out of your way to visit.

Great to see poor old Capt Scot back where he belongs. Originally sculptured (by his widow) in Carerra Marble because bronze was in short supply during WWI, this statue was one of the victims of the 2011 earthquakes. Now fully restored & looking good!

It has fallen over and was a display in the Icefest, in a glass case. Not sure where it is now or when it is being fixed.
