Wandering along the river in the central part of the city was delightful. The river looks beautifully clean, there are birds around, and gorgeous trees. The riverside landscaping has been done very well indeed -- I assume much of it done since the earthquake hit....More

Ah, a beautiful tree lined river wandering through the city and through the botanic gar dens. It is reminiscent of Stratford Upon Avon in it's stately beauty. Take a long walk along the banks be calmed and enjoy nature's beauty.

The Avon River winds throughout the city. It’s not a wide river and there are many roads that cross it. So if you are driving around, you will definitely see it. The Avon River runs along part of the Mona Vale Gardens.
