The Court Theatre is a Christchurch treasure, and a fantastic place to be entertained - whether it's late night comedy, edgy drama or a musical extravaganza, the Court has it all. The new wood fired pizza menu by BASE and extended bar makes for a perfectly rounded night out! The refurnished warehouse is a testament to the Christchurch spirit list... More

After the earthquakes, Court Theatre relocated so quickly and with great innovation and imagination, to a vast old grain store beside the railway in Addington. The show must (and did and does) go on! It's now a quirky but entirely practical theatre, with two playing spaces - three if you count the enormous foyer. The industrial décor is fabulously imaginative... More

I've been to many of the scared scriptless shows before and they never get old! Great improvisers! There is always a show for any age group and the atmosphere is great! Would highly recommend for a night out!!!

We enjoyed a great evening at this theatre. Ample parking outside, wine bar inside. Good seating. We went to see Educating Rita and will go back in future.

I took a friends three year old and this was her first outing to an event like this. We saw The Little Mermaid which is part of the Kids fest, and this was a real delight. Performer's were of a high quality, the program was interactive, which many of the children loved. Costumes were great and the little theatre made... More

Continuing the high standards of many years past, the current production of Educating Rita is very entertaining. George Henare is brilliantly cast as Frank. With new sponsership from Giesens Wines, the bar has been refurbished and the wine list rewritten to reflect the new patronage.

Ok, so it's a makeshift theatre post earthquake and it's smallish......but....it's awesome, intimate and a place of escape. There are good drinks and snacks and every seat has a great view of the stage and you feel part of the performance. We have been there for a number of performances and of course, not all are your cup of tea... More

Scared Scriptless showcases Christchurch’s funniest men and women, taking on a version of theatre sports every Friday and Saturday night at 10:15, after the main stage’s performance has finished for the evening. Friday nights are games with an MC, whereas Saturday’s shows are usually themed (topical events or holidays etc.). The Court Jesters are different every week and are absolutely... More
