The great hall is open again and it was wonderful to go to a show there! The arts centre is aa visual feast and I'm so glad that it's being saved

This is such a beautiful building and if you like taking photos. .... BONUS because you can get some really good one's ! You need to walk around and find all the little areas, doors and rooms ! So beautifully restored !!!

I loved this years ago when I lived in ChCh and I feared the worst with initial reports following the earthquakes. I'm delighted to see the rebuild in progress (see photos) and the schedule for progressive reopening. I will review progress as I revisit.
Still in a state of transition after all the quake damage but getting a lot of TLC and attracting a lot of arts and crafts partisans, stone Mason attraction etc. and is generally interesting. Definitely well worth a look and supporting the folk. Very close...More
This is a good place to find the art and handiwork of some of the many fine artists and craftspeople in Christchurch. For now it is in temporary quarters but easy to find along Worchester Boulevard.
