Thanks for the feedback, we have an affordable annual pass available for local residents which is extremely popular and caters for thousands of locals currently. A family pass is $149 and can be used on the Gondola and the Christchurch Tramway as much as you...More

Part of an escorted bus tour, out of the town centre, eating facilities and gift shop at the top. Worth doing a trip with a guide, excellent narrative into Christchurch and its history including Quake impact on the city and surrounding places. Worthwhile.

We booked tickets at the iSite. A 20 minute bus link takes you to the base of the gondola line. There passengers were efficiently boarded on the cars and there was the opportunity to have your photo taken which would be ready for collection at...More

In my opinion a tourist trap not worth the money. At ski resorts in Europe, hundreds of people use these gondolas per hour. In Christchurch, they want 30 NZD per person for the return!? For a 5 minute ride!? Just go hiking and get the...More

The gondola up the mountain takes only about 15-20 minutes. There is a nice restaurant at the top; a great place to catch some lunch while enjoying the view of the area surrounding Christchurch.

The gondola ride is quite short - perhaps 5 mins. The visitor centre is the real attraction with stunning views all around and a wide choice of walks and linger treks available. You can even walk back down. Signage is poor though. The little seated...More

This is a must do outing in Christchurch. The reception staff are very friendly and helpfull and the views on top are breathtaking. The time tunnel experience on top of the mountain adds to the whole experience.
