We enjoyed the Museum. The displays are excellent and the Paua Shell house is a highlight. Make sure you view the movie.

Great museum with a little bit of everything. Bigger than it seems at first, so make sure you explore both floors.

The museum offers art, discovery activities for kids, engaging contemporary exhibits, history of multiple peoples in NZ, and natural history of the wildlife. It's centrally located next to the botanic gardens and across the street from the Art Center.

This is a free Museum that is well worth a visit. Great staff and very helpful. The early Christchurch Street exhibit is worth spending time looking at as are the special exhibits.
