The Canterbury Museum can be accessed from the Christchurch Botanical Gardens. It is clean and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The displays are very interesting and best of all the admission price is free.

Lots to look at and free entry. Wide range of exhibits. Great coffee shop and lovely gift shop. Especially liked the recreated period street walk through. Well worth a visit if you are in Christchurch

Had a few hours in Christchurch. Wandering around town and found this lovely museum. Not big, but cute. Has lots of Western immigration and traditional people.

There is so much o see at the Christchurch museum. They even have an Egyptian mummy. Lots of kid activities as well. Great free day out.
