The Rotary Market operates every Sunday morning (bar Easter Sunday and Christmas) at the Riccarton Raceway. It officially opens at 9am but go earlier because then you'll catch the cool brocante and the dealers will always sell early. For bargains, be there at 2pm which pack up time. If you're using public transport just get a bus that goes down... More

There was a really good range of stalls, you could spend ages just poking around. All sorts of second-hand goods, but also new stuff and crafts. Would have liked more fresh produce, but maybe that was because it's winter? Had a great coffee and there's a variety of food available, from donuts to pasties to Asian food to wieners. Guy... More

We enjoyed visiting these markets during our trip to Christchurch. The variation of stalls and in particular food stalls was great. Prices were reasonable and kids entertainment a bonus.

Such a wide range of things to buy, from vintage clothing, to hand made lotions and goodies to fresh fruit and veg. Live music on the lawn and a great choice of lunch options. Retailers all friendly and not pushy.

Love coming here. Always buy a book or two, the food is amazing and they have entertainment while you eat and rides for kids.

Really enjoy visiting this market when in Christchurch. They have a huge number of vendors, a good selection of food, and great entertainment. Seems to be a very busy place humming with people - always a good bargain somewhere.

Rotary have been running this market for a number of years and it is an amazing place to visit where you are guaranteed to find something of interest. There are half a dozen booksellers and if you can't find the book you are looking for you ain't looking hard enough! The record man has a wonderful array of LPs for... More

A bit out of the centre so not sure about accessibility without a car but public transport in Chtistchurch is better than most of New Zealand. Me and my partner love a good walk around at farmers market to see what they have to offer. This farmers market is lovely, it offers lots of local organic fruit and veg and... More
