Interesting small museum
May 2021
This is an interesting small museum at the top of the cable car. It is free entry. There are lots of interesting old photos and some short films to watch as well. Also a souvenir shop if you are looking for some shopping. It was extremely quiet when we were there on a Sunday in May. Great views from the top of the cable car.

Worth a look. Loved the old photos of the area prior to house being built in numbers, shows how things change. Lets you know how it all happened.

Great little museum with free entry - we enjoyed the videos of the history of cable cars in NZ and the residential "cable cars" in Wellington - worth a visit.

Absolutely well worth the visit. Old photographs and time line of the changes over the years is mesmerizing. Be sure to also go downstairs. Shop has really lovely stock.

my first visit was about 1978. it was using cables to haul the car up and down. Now it's all electric. have your camera ready for the trip down.

Worth a visit when you get to the top.

There is no charge for entry and it is worth stopping off to visit. Inside there is a photo opportunity with one of the old cars, plus historical displays and a souvenir shop.

Kinda Small
Mar 2020
You can't miss it. It is at the top of the cable car run up the hill. It was fun to see some of the historical photos but other than that and some souvenir trinkets, there wasn't much to it.
