The Wellington waterfront is awesome! (Why hasn't other waterfront cities like Auckland and others haven't copied the concepts???) Anyway Wellington has created a stunning entrance to its harbour - local Maori carver/sculpturer has mixed wood with metal to give a permanent display. Take the 1+ hours to explore this waterfront area - Wellington puts on incredible blue sky days, (wind... More

This is a delightful way to cross from the Civic Square to the Frank Kitts Lagoon. The whole bridge is made of wooden sculptures and looks like something out of Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings. It's very clever and charming for adults and little ones alike. It's also a great vantage point to watch out for stingrays... More

A nice walkway from the City to the Wellington waterfront. Admire all the sculptures and carvings and the fabulous view of the Harbour from here. Great for Guy Fawkes night.

Its a great place to take photos from with 360 degree views of both the lagoon and the town square. Check out the art museum nearby too.

Offers amazing views of the harbour, and it's close to Frank Kitts and Civic Square. Lot's of places to sit, including places sheltered from the wind. A major thoroughfare for locals and tourists a like, so perfect if you enjoy a spot of people watching.

This is a beautifully designed place that connects Wellington harbour with the city. A nice place to enjoy a coffee on the go or to hang out and enjoy a little snack.

The City to Sea Bridge opened in 1994. It connects the city to Frank Kitts lagoon and the waterfront, stretching over Jervois Quay (that separates the city from the waterfront). Plenty of room to sit down and enjoy the stunning view, really love the surroundings!
