This was a quiet excursion to the other side of Wellingtons harbour as come late march most of the local business owners shut shop, pack up, lock the doors & leave till the next spring time. So most places are closed with the exception of...More

It has always been my children's favourite spot.....swimming, great icecream and coffee shop, wonderful gallery for buying gifts, parking, sheltered sunbathing....this and Scorching Bay were my children's choices always

Hardly worth the ferry crossing fee, almost deserted except for our fellow ferry passengers, 1 cafe shut the other over busy. Desolate windswept beach with grey sand. Walked to Eastbourne - equally as unappealing - got next ferry back!

Great for all ages. Nice beach and protected swimming. Good range of cafes and a lovely shop with arts and crafts. Parking can be tricky on a busy day, but be patient. Well worth it

We sat outside under the veranda roof and enjoyed excellent coffee and salads; Tandoori Chicken and Smoked chicken. Both tasted delicious and beautifully presented. Certainly worth the effort to drive around the eastern bays.

Limited (though good) shops and cafes, a green play area but no playground equipment for the young children.
