Got my daily exercise!

We probably chose the wrong time of the year to visit, but what was on display was lovely. Lunch in the Picnic cafe was great.

We took the cable car from Lambton Quay to the top of the gardens, then did the easy walk back down to the city. It took around 20 minutes, and was all downhill. There were a lot of lovely sites to see - highlights were the lookout at the top which had beautiful views, the duck pond (duck food box... More

Nature close to the City with a walk uphill or Cable Car & return walk through the old cemetary .Perfect tourist day out. But the Cafe in the Rose garden could be spruced up, needs some cleaning.

This beautiful garden is a working and educational garden, not just a park. Take the Cable Car froms downtown to the top of the Garden; there is a clearly marked Downhill Walk from there back to the city center, about 45-60 minutes with many good photo spots and views. At key points Garden volunteers were helpful and offered to take... More

We went up via the cable car and then walked back down to the city through the gardens ... Would def do it this way rather than walk up to the gardens if you aren't wanting a good workout :-). The gardens were really tidy and well maintained. The cafe was really busy when we got there so we passed... More

Great menu, with excellent service. Reasonably priced. Perfectly roasted coffee. Being able to purchase a few treats for later is a really nice touch.

We spent a couple of hours walking around here and the various gardens/areas are beautifully presented. It's a large area and directional signage could be improved. Good children's play park

I like this botanic garden for it's interesting pathways and nicely planned plantings. There are a lot of nice trees, and many of them are labeled. The kids play area is being worked on, so there are a few portable fences and some heavy equipment blocking some access, which was unfortunate. The signs said it would be done by spring... More

Nice for a short walk not far from the city. Some facilities are duck pond, kids playing ground, cafe, rose garden, herbs garden, glass house. Access from Lambton Quay (CBD) by cable car for 4 dollars. Parking available on street free for the 1st 2 hours. There is a local music festival every summer for 2 weeks.
