Snow and ice all over Wellington experienced after a very long time. It was a silver lining on a dark cloud for north island, for those of us who have not seen snow and ice for a long time.

Wellington is a great place to walk around. There are so many beautiful buldings to look at and there are plenty of photo opportunities if you are interested.

I would loved to have gone inside for a look but our guide told us it was currently closed for seismic strengthening work on the inside of the building and would reopen in due course. The outside of the building is beautiful and has been kept in great condition. It is a credit to the City of Wellington.

Have been to quite a few functions here and I just love the building. It's such a credit to Wellington and I hope we never lose it. I love all the wood and fixtures and acoustics as well. I love the work they have done to preserve it and keep it structurally sound as well.

I visited a year ago on a school trip and saw a kid's concert by the NZSO and also the Artsplash choirs concert a couple of years ago. The acoustics were great, the seating comfortable and every seat had upstairs had a great view due to the tiered seating.

I love this old building but feel that it has been spoilt by bulding the Michael Fowler Centre so close to it.

I really liked the Wellington Town Hall. A functioning building, it still had a nice, colonial charm to it. Being next to Civic Square and housing the Wellington I-Site information centre, tourists can take a look at the Wellington Town Hall without going out of their way.
