Stands out among the newer buildings in the area. Great architecture. It was too bad that we our group was only passing through and did not have the time to go inside and do a bit of a wander.

Snow and ice all over Wellington experienced after a very long time. It was a silver lining on a dark cloud for north island, for those of us who have not seen snow and ice for a long time.

Wellington is a great place to walk around. There are so many beautiful buldings to look at and there are plenty of photo opportunities if you are interested.

The Town Hall is built in Roman style along with a huge clock tower. Wellington Town Hall is closed for three years from 2013 for earthquake strengthening so ensure if its opened before you plan your visit there.

I love this old building but feel that it has been spoilt by bulding the Michael Fowler Centre so close to it.
