Hidden away upstairs in the heart of Courtenay Place sits The Library. Fun and frivilous cocktails, exquisite and obscure wines, delicious desserts, exceptional cheese and scrumptious savoury snacks make this a great place to meet before or after a show. The Library also has live music every Tuesday and Friday evening.

Unique and cosy

Unique and cosy place to go with friends for cocktails. Yummy cocktails. Interesting interior. Can be super busy but there are some lovely small booths to hide away in.

We were lucky enough to make it for the special Easter menu - three words: Hot Cross Beer. The cocktails generally were inventive and all too easy to drink. Worth the wait for a 'table' to work out way through the menu.

Was excited to go to "The library" as we had heard so much about it, but was very disappointed. The service was poor and never actually got our wine. Understand if they were short staffed but this was Easter weekend.

Looove the cocktails (especially the Randy Savage). There's often a small wait for a seat, so get in earlier and take up space while you wait for your friends to arrive if there is going to be a big group. If you end up in a booth around the corner, expect to be crammed in and it will be hot.... More

My wife and I stopped off here on the way back form dinner, and loved the atmosphere. It's quiet, romantic and they do some mean cocktails and mocktails. Would highly recommend.

An expensive but extremely cosy place that looks exactly like what it says on the tin: a dimly lit library with soft armchairs and calm athmosphere. The drinks are dear but of good quality, the desserts are amazing. There are several 2-for-1 offers per week, so that the place is still affordable.

If you are coming here for a drink you can't complain. Great cocktail menu starting relatively cheap. For me the vibe isn't quite there. The place is great in theory but in execution something is missing.

We were meeting people for the first time from out of town and we selected The Library based on its location in Courtenay Place. We reserved a table and were quickly seated and served. A good variety of cocktails and deserts. Good atmosphere which we all enjoyed. Would certainly go there again, but recommend making a reservation like we did... More
