Amazing!

Well worth the drive there. Easy stroll to the Huka Falls bridge. Pretty spectacular. Only bummer is they charge to use the bathrooms.

Huka Falls is not as dramatic as we were led to believe. Fast waterway squeezed through rocks at 200,000 litres per second!

We only had a quick stop here on our way from Rotorua to Taupo, well worth having a photo stop here as the sheer volumes of flowing water have to be seen to be believed.

We did the lovely walk along the river from the Thermal Spa car park to the beautiful Huka Falls. Path is very good and makes for easy walking but there are some hills to climb along the way. The colour of the river in places is gorgeous. Really enjoyed my visit here. The spa pools themselves were rammed with people... More

Easy acess by car - falls are not vertical but rather a rush of whitewater through a cut. Worth a visit. No entrance fee.

Quite flat terrain and accessible for most people. Free viewing. Not the best falls we've seen but well worth a visit.

This is a must see attraction when visiting Taupo. To see the turquoise water rush between the two rock faces is spectacular. Then a bit further down, those awesome falls as the water breaths that sigh of relieve from being squashed between the two rock faces. This attraction lends itself to some excellent photography. It is simply spectacular attraction.

This is a great experience for the family and we never tire of going. We also enjoy watching the floodgates being opened. Recommended!

Awesome amount of water pouring over the edge. Powerful and beautiful in colour. very popular place to go and it is FREE. from here you can go on two nice walks - one to Spa Park which is 45 minutes there and then 45 minutes back to the falls. also you can walk to the Aratiatia dam and that is...
