A place not to be missed, amazing walk through the valley to see all the thermal activity and you can take a bus back.

The walk way from the very rustic fun cafe will set you back $10 each and not convinced it was worth it. It's a 30 min round trip - walk to see a few interesting features. Some hot air blowing out a cliff side a...More

Visited on a quiet Friday afternoon. Pools easily accessed down pathway. Excellent changing rooms. Man made pools, however, calcium and other mineral deposits building up round the pools which looks great. Temperature approx 40°c in the hotter areas. No child policy makes for tranquility

Found this gem on my way to Taupo and followed my Lonely Planet guide books advice to visit. Very interesting and surreal thermal park. Very natural and in places a little eerie. If in the UK or USA would be converted to a Jurassic Park...More

Not really - thermal track walk is a bush track only. The house is accessible from the side but steps inside. Sorry for the delay in responding
