Polynesian Spa is New Zealand’s leading international day spa. In a picturesque, tranquil setting overlooking Lake Rotorua, visitors can enjoy a wonderful fusion of relaxing hot spring pool bathing, sumptuous spa and massage therapies and picturesque lake views. Polynesian Spa has the use of two types of hot mineral water, one alkaline and one acidic, that are the unique point of difference of the operation. Many thousands of visitors to the spa have attested to the remedial effect the hot mineral waters have on such ailments as muscular complaints, arthritis and rheumatism. The Priest and Radium springs are most noted in this respect. We invite you to experience this World Top Ten Spa (natural/thermal/medical), as voted by readers of the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller magazine for several years and once again in 2011. We look forward to welcoming you to Polynesian Spa.

The thermal pools were so relaxing and wonderful BUT there were about 200 while birds making so much noise it really took away from the experience!

Very bad experience in this spa. I paid 30 bucks to be in a very noisy, really really dirty and fakes temperatures. There are different temperature pools, but the pool 39C is hotter than the 41C one. What's the point? Also I know it's not easy to keep public pools cleaned but be honest it's very very dirty. I'll never... More

We chose the Lake Spa option and had access to 5 different temperature pools plus a cold plunge pool. Arrived around 3pm so it wasnt too busy. Really relaxing and nice touches with the heated loungers and fancy toiletries. Only downside was the noise of the gulls but understand the lakeside is their home!

A super relaxing place to visit after spending the previous 4 days out tramping. Couples room was lovely, however it was just as nice out in the different public pools.

I came with my teenage daughter and her friend for a relaxing soak after a long day of activity. We loved it! We went to the adult pools along the lake front which was beautiful. The nesting seagulls were a bit loud but fun to watch. We loved the different temp pools so we could move around for a different... More

...all floating in the deluxe private spa. We stayed for all of 10min until our discovery and left in haste. I can only imagine what the main pools must be like given the hordes of Asian tour groups that were arriving. Never again - yes the view across the lake, with accompanying racket kicked up by the seagulls wasn't too... More

As being a local I was writing a thesis on spa of Rotorua and I visited Polynesian spa and hells gate the spa was over crowded, water was not clean and worst part was the staff they were rude as they have enough business from Asian group it did not bother them about the quality they deliver

It's a unique concept and a different kind of a spa with hot geo-thermal waters filled in different pools with different temperatures. The spa is set aside the Rotorua lake and that makes for the most beautiful spot in Rotorua - a treat to the eyes. Besides, all amenities that might be required are provided inside - showers for men... More

We spent 1.5 hours relaxing in the Deluxe Lake Spa. You have a few mineral pools to choose from, from 36 to 42 degrees. We were lucky that mid afternoon was quiet, and it was as if we had the place for ourselves. When we were leaving a bus arrived with probably 40 people going into the same pools and... More
