Just wander around the park and you will see some amazing sights. Stick to the paths - there are signs warning you of geothermal danger - it all adds to the fun. A very well kept park with a surprise around most corners.

This is a great FREE place to visit to see what all the volcanic activity is about. It is not as good as the paid places - but still worthwhile.

For the locals of Rotorua, this is the place to come and soak their feet. If you're up for a bit of socialising while the warm waters take all the strain out of your feet (and all for free)...this is the place to be.

Bubbling mud and water thermal pools and sulfurous steam hold some interest if you haven't seen them before, and free certainly beats the price of the commercial operations, but can't compete with the spectacular colors, for example of Wai-O -Tapu. Free parking. available.

Great range of boiling mud pools and springs set in a wonderful park. Plenty of parking nearby and very easy walking. Suitable for all ages.

Awesome free public park with numerous boiling mud and water pools, some only a metre or two in diameter, some much bigger, and the really large boiling lake had a boardwalk over it! I had been here 30 years ago, and the park is still fascinating. There are a couple of foot-pools where you can sit and soak your feet,... More

It was the most amazing visit there as we used the hot thermal spa there. We were so tired and lathargic so that we badly needed a foot massage or a pedicure, thanks to a local there who works in a visitor centre or information centre he gave us the idea to go for thermal spa it's free. It was... More

Good place to see boiling mud pools and other geothermal activity for free. A foot pool is available for soaking feet in naturally heated water - at no cost.

Always enjoy our visit, seeing bubbling mud, steam vents, and has playground, and foot soaking pools. Very well maintained park.
