The falls themselves are great. It has been ruined by urbanisation, as a bridge runs very close to the waterfall and there are lots of houses nearby. It is a shame the waterfall wasn't more secluded. The small bush walk to the waterfall was nice.

Having years ago made the lengthy return walking trip from Waitangi Carpark to Hururu Falls and back to Carpark, we chose to split the experience into an most enjoyable walk from the Carpark along the paths and boardwalks, where plenty of birdlife and natural beauty...More

Loved it. Well worth seeing. The falls were spectacular. Caravan park owner in Harura recommended we have a look before leaving town and we were glad we did.

Easy to get to, and just beautiful. Weather was a little rainy so the falls were rushing. Can imagine it would be even nicer in the summer. Say hello to the random chickens in the car park when you visit

Had a bit of awe inspiring look to see what nature is all about and how magnificent Nature can be. Haruru Falls is a treat and it is definitely an honor to be able to look and experience the Falls in all it's glory.

Great walk from town if you can or drive. Very pretty little spot to visit. Take a picnic with you to enjoy the rest after the walk.

You can drive to the falls. However, we chose to walk from Waitangi grounds (stay on the road to the left of the Treaty grounds entrance and go in thru the carpark about 100m up). Took about 2.5 hours. Beautiful walk through bush and wetlands....More
