The weather was great which always makes a boat trip better. Great crew who managed the day well and very informative. Went through the hole in the rock which was great. Even spotted dolphins. Did the morning tour so there was a lunch stop on an island as well. Complementary ferry from Russell on the way back. Very happy.

What a great day.....the cruise took us around the Bay of Islands, the weather was average but the colour of the water when we got to the Hole In Rock was brilliant Blue, too rough to enter the Hole but got up close, on our return a pod of playful Dolphins joined us and performed close to the boat riding... When we boarded the skipper told everyone the weather wasn't looking too great out at sea and that it would be a bit bumpy and we could choose to disembark if we wanted to. We chose to stay on board (as did all the passengers) never imagining the journey would be as unpleasant as it was. We took our lead... More

Nice boat. Amazing trip. Stunning views. Lots of Dolphins. A free ticket for another trip if you don't see them. Staff are brilliant. Great commentary and good local knowledge. A perfect and exhilarating day. Nice food too.

We didn't get to swim with dolphins but we knew up front that was quite possible. We still saw plenty of dolphins up close, and the staff were very knowledgeable about the individuals in the pod, and great for sharing their knowledge. A really enjoyable trip. We stopped off in Russell on the way back for lunch, well worth it.

This was a great half-day trip. The staff on the boat were very knowledgeable and could identify the pod we came across by name. They positioned the boat so we had a great view of the Dolphins but at the same time we felt that we weren't forced upon the Dolphins. The rest of the trip we were taken to... More

We headed out on a cloudy, drizzling afternoon. We were told by the staff straight away the conditions that would prevent us from swimming with the Dolphins. This too was clearly explained on the web site. Very early in the cruise we came across a pod of about 25 Dolphins. There were babies so we understood we couldn't swim with... More

Did get a voucher for life to go back again, also had such a lovely day out on the water. We were able to go snorkelling which was fun and nice to get in the water. The Dolphins were feeding so unable to go in the water, which is a government rule, so respected this and just enjoyed my day... More

To swim with dolphins is an obvious bucket list item, so off with the boat we went. The booking staff was really friendly and clear about there only being a 40% chance of swimming with a pod (I believe this to be highly overestimated but, I haven't seen the true statistics). Nonetheless the 4h cruise wasn't as I expected it.... More

From the beginning, the crew (which was great and really helpfull) told us that we might not be able to swim with the dolphins due to strong wind but that they will do their best to find dolphins between the islands. We were offer to choose an alternative date if we wanted to. Lucky us we didn't! We found a... More
